Rev. Al and I are so pleased to welcome Van Brooks, founder of the Safe Alternative Foundation for Education. Van is a survivor and inspiration to everyone he meets. He tells his story of perseverance in the face of the prospect that he night never walk again. As a decorated high school athlete at Loyola Blakefield in a moment his world changed as a result of a broken neck during a routine tackle playing football. An inspired Van Brooks tells his story of triumph, the low points and the high points, of a journey that will lift up anyones spirits and give you a glimpse of a man who won't give up until he walks freely again.
Completely able to get around on his own he showed up at the Advanced Indoor Resources Podcast Studio in a sweet wheelchair. A self sufficient man on a mission to change the lives of young men and women by providing afternoon, weekend and summer learning programs that teach skills to that have real world application.
Van Brooks is truly impressive and never gave up, his story is amazing, dive in and learn about this incredible young mans journey.
